On the academic side, our team of qualified English teachers are extremely enthusiastic and highly skilled at delivering lessons to ensure that they get the best out of each student. They all have a desire to work with international students and assist with evening activities and excursions.
Our activity instructional team work year-round leading activities for young people. They are encouraging and motivated and ensure that students are safe and happy in any activity that they do. They hold the appropriate instructional qualifications for the activities that they lead. Activity instructional staff are responsible to the Activities Director.
Group leaders look after students on a day to day basis, assisting them at break and meal times. They ensure that students are up in the morning and go to bed on time. They assist the activities team and accompany students on excursions.
The Course Director oversees the general management of the school and the welfare of the students.
There is a ratio of 1 member of staff to every 3 students. Criminal Records Bureau checks are carried out by Disclosure Scotland on all members of staff of Ardmay House International Summer School. Full training and induction is also given to all members of staff.
