| Ardmay House International Summer School – English Language Courses for students aged from 8 - 16 years old. | ||||||||
| Ardmay House International Summer School is the ideal place to learn English and make friends from around the world whilst taking part in a variety of fun and exciting activities. Set in the stunning Scottish countryside in the heart of Scotland’s first National Park, Ardmay House International Summer School offers students a truly unique language learning experience. Our enthusiastic teachers and outdoor instructors work hard to ensure that each student really benefits from their experience at Ardmay House International Summer School. As well as 15 hours of English lessons each week, students have the opportunity to experience adventure activities they may have never tried before whilst exploring the beautiful Scottish countryside. Students are able to try out the language that they learn in real-life situations whilst on excursions to some of Scotland’s top attractions including Edinburgh and Loch Lomond. Adventure activities range from kayaking and abseiling to orienteering, team-building and rock climbing. Our activities suit all, regardless of age, height or physical ability. Every evening after dinner, students take part in a variety of fun and engaging evening activities. Group leaders work hard to ensure that every student is fully involved and has great fun. Evening activities include beach art, a games night and 10 pin bowling. We are ideally situated on the beautiful shore of Loch Long in the West Coast of Scotland. Despite the rural setting of the house, it is less than one hour’s drive from Glasgow, Scotland’s capital of culture. Students sleep in spacious dorm-style rooms, each named after one of the beautiful islands of Scotland’s West Coast. The rooms sleep 4, 6 or 8 students of a similar age. There is a separate wing of the house for girls and boys, each with their own toilets and showers. There are separate bedrooms for on-duty staff in each wing of the house allowing 24-hour supervision. Ardmay House has a relaxed, homely feel ensuring students feel happy, settled and safe at all times. The safety and well-being of our students is of prime importance to all staff at Ardmay House International Summer School. It is fundamental to us that all students enjoy themselves, and feel comfortable and happy during their stay. English language classes are taught by highly qualified professionals, and students have real opportunities to practice what they learn. This helps increase their confidence and motivation for learning English when they return home after their course. We are a family-run summer school and pride ourselves on the individual attention that we are able to offer our students. We are sure that students will leave Ardmay House International Summer School with a greater confidence and positivity about learning English. |
